Who we are
St. Francis of Assisi High School is a private, coeducational, day and boarding, secondary school located in Kitagwenda District, Uganda, along the Kamwenge – Ibanda highway, 8 kilometres from Kamwenge town. It is registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports and mandated to offer education based on the nationally approved curriculum. After four years of study, students are awarded a Uganda Certificate of Education. The registration and examination centre number of the school are PSS/S/726 and U4008 respectively. The school is an accredited assessment center for the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT). The center number is UVQF/1792.
The school was founded in 2017 and opened its doors for the first intake in 2018. It has a Catholic character but admits students from different faith denominations. Love for God and nature, the zeal to protect environment, and ability to be creative and innovative, are the hallmarks of the graduates of St. Francis of Assisi High School.
The slogan of the school is “Exploring Possibilities” which implies that at St. Francis of Assisi High School, both staff and students try to think outside the box. They believe that solutions to problems are within reach provided one extends the frontiers of thinking and imagination.
